SnapDeal, an Indian online group coupon website, has raised $100 million in new VC funding from BlackRock, Temasek (Singapore), Myriad (Hong Kong) and Premji Investment (India). This comes just months after the company raised nearly $134 million in a round led by eBay. The WSJ reports that the new deal values SnapDeal at approximately $1 billion. www.snapdeal.com
Coherus BioSciences Inc., a Redwood City, Calif.-based biologics platform company focused on biosimilars, has raised $55 million in Series C funding. Clarizen, a San Mateo, Calif.-based provider of project management and social collaboration software, has raised $35 million in Series F funding led by Goldman Sachs. The Carlyle Group has agreed to acquire a majority stake in Talent Partners, a New York-based provider of talent payroll, production support services and rights management solutions to the advertising industry. The seller is ABRY Partners. No financial terms were disclosed.www.talentpartners.com
Clayton, Dubilier & Rice is in “advanced talks” to acquire Jacksonville, Fla.-based wound care company Healogics Inc. from Metalmark Capital for approximately $1 billion, according to Reuters. Hopu Investments, a Chinese private equity firm, has agreed to acquire a minority stake in a Russian copper deposit currently operated by Baikal Mining Co. No financial terms were disclosed, although the entire project is expected to cost around $6 billion.
