Dering Capital is in pole position to acquire the French assets of European telecom tower operator TDF, according to the FT. The deal could be valued at around €3.8 billion (compared to an original €4 billion asking price), with other suitors reported to be American Tower and a pairing of Canadian pension systems CPPIB and PSP Investment.
